Diagnosing emerald ash borer, oak wilt, anthracnose, or a root-zone compaction problem requires knowing what you're actually looking at — and a wrong diagnosis means the wrong treatment, which wastes money and time while the tree gets worse. Marcus assesses every health consultation personally.
We provide a written treatment plan before any product is applied to your property. That plan identifies the specific pest or condition, the treatment protocol, the expected timeline, and the cost. We don't sell treatments we don't believe will work — if a tree is too far gone, we'll tell you, and we'll explain what the removal cost will be so you can make an informed decision.

- Is there still time to treat my ash tree for emerald ash borer?
- Possibly — but timing matters. Ash trees with less than 50% canopy decline and no significant bark loss still respond well to systemic insecticide treatment. Trees with more than 50% decline are generally past the treatment window. We'll assess the canopy, bark, and overall health on-site and give you an honest answer before recommending treatment.
- What is deep-root fertilization and does my tree actually need it?
- Deep-root fertilization delivers nutrients and oxygen directly to the root zone using a pressurized probe — bypassing the compacted or turfed soil surface that blocks normal nutrient uptake. It's most beneficial for mature trees in irrigated lawn areas, trees that have shown slowed growth or early leaf drop, and trees recovering from construction damage. We'll tell you honestly if we don't think it will make a meaningful difference for your specific tree.
