Every question. Straight answer.
The guarantee, ownership, the AI, texting compliance, pricing, and setup — the questions contractors actually ask, answered in plain English.
Our skin in the game
The Guarantee
How does the 90-Day Performance Guarantee work, exactly?
Here's the exact guarantee: "In your first 90 days we answer every call and book you at least [N] new jobs — or we work for free until we do." A booked job means the caller spoke with Maple, gave their contact info and service request, and scheduled an appointment or a confirmed callback — all tracked in your dashboard with a full call log. If we miss the number in 90 days, your subscription pauses (we stop billing you) and we keep working and optimizing until we hit it. There's no time limit on "until we do."
Is the guarantee a free trial or money-back?
No. It is not a free trial and not a money-back guarantee — we don't refund the setup fee or your first months. It's a performance guarantee: we have delivery skin in the game, same as you. The fine print is simple and fair — it assumes you complete the intake thoroughly, your number is forwarded to our system, and your business is actively operating during the 90 days. We can't book jobs for a business that's closed.
Where does the booked-jobs number come from?
We set it with you at kickoff — from your call volume, your trade, and your close rate — and both sides sign it. It's a number specific to your business, not a marketing figure we print on a banner. Until the first cohort's data is in, the site shows the placeholder "[N]" instead of a made-up number.
The wording, verbatim: "In your first 90 days we answer every call and book you at least [N] new jobs — or we work for free until we do." — set with you at kickoff and signed by both of us.
What you keep
Ownership & Contracts
Who owns my website, phone number, and data?
You do. Full stop. You own everything — your website, your domain, your phone number, your data, your reviews. Cancel anytime; you keep all of it. This isn't the norm in our industry, and we do it on purpose. Lock-in is a bad way to keep customers; results are a good one. You stay because it works, not because leaving would cost you everything you built.
Can I cancel anytime? What happens if I do?
Monthly is month-to-month — cancel anytime and your next cycle is your last. Nothing bad happens: your website stays live (on your hosting, or we hand you the export — your choice), your number stays yours, your Google profile, reviews, and domain all stay in your hands. We offboard you cleanly with every file and login. No exit fee, no "buy your number back," no ransom. Annual is a 12-month commitment with no mid-year refund, but nothing locks you in after the year.
Is there a long-term contract?
No long-term lock-in. Monthly plans are month-to-month. Annual is a 12-month commitment paid upfront in exchange for the bonus (two months free plus setup waived), and after that you're back to month-to-month unless you renew. No multi-year contract, no auto-renewing trap, no cancellation penalty.
How the front desk works
The AI (Maple)
How does the AI front desk actually work?
When someone calls your number, Maple picks up immediately — no hold music, no voicemail. She answers in your company's name, qualifies the job (what kind of work, where, how urgent, property access), gets the caller's contact info, and books the appointment or sends a booking link by text. She's trained on your specific business — your service area, job types, pricing range, schedule, and emergency rules — and works 24/7, including 2 a.m. after a storm.
Is it a real person? Will it pretend to be?
No, and no. Maple is AI, and she's honest about it. If a caller asks whether they're talking to a person, she says: "I'm Maple, [Your Company]'s AI front desk — want me to grab the owner for you?" Transparent, professional, and it puts the caller in control. We think pretending to be human is the wrong way to build trust with your customers.
What about a big job or a hazard — can it hand off to a real human?
Yes — this is the thing most AI receptionists get wrong, so we built it on purpose. Maple is trained to spot high-ticket jobs, hazards, storm emergencies, and anything unusual, and she routes those straight to your cell as a warm transfer — you pick up, the customer's already on the line. If you can't take it, she grabs a full message and texts you an immediate alert so you can call back before a competitor does. AI handles the routine; a human handles the judgment calls.
What if the AI messes up a call?
You get a transcript of every call in your dashboard, and you can flag any call that was handled wrong — we tune Maple's training within 24 hours. For anything beyond her training — an unusually complex job, an angry caller, a legal question — she escalates to you immediately instead of guessing. And she works in English and Spanish, so callers in either language get answered and booked.
How is this different from a $49 AI receptionist?
A $49 AI receptionist answers your phone. That's about it. SetNForget is a whole growth system: Maple answers the call, the call came from local SEO we built, and the caller drops into a review funnel that earns your next five-star review — all visible in one dashboard. The budget tools don't build your website, run your SEO, manage your reviews, or hand off the big jobs to a real person. And they often charge per minute with overage on busy months. We don't.
Keeping your SMS legal
Texting Compliance
Is your texting compliant? I've heard SMS can get shut down.
Yes — A2P 10DLC compliant out of the box. A2P 10DLC is the carrier requirement (mandatory since 2025) that any business texting from a 10-digit number registers its brand and campaign with The Campaign Registry. Skip it and carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon block or spam-filter your texts. We handle all of it — brand registration, campaign registration, compliant opt-in/opt-out language, message review — before your number sends a single text. You don't touch it. Most $49 tools leave this as your problem; we keep your texting legal.
Does the AI handle texts too, not just calls?
Yes. Maple handles inbound SMS the same way she handles calls — qualifies the job, answers questions, and sends a booking link or grabs info for a callback. Missed-call text-back is built in too: if a call can't be connected for any reason, she fires a text within seconds — "Hey, this is Maple from [Your Company], sorry we missed you — can I help with your job?" — so the lead never goes cold.
Do you filter out bad reviews (review-gating)?
No, never. Review-gating — only asking happy customers and hiding the rest — violates Google and FTC rules and can get your profile penalized. We ask every customer after every job and reply to every review, good or bad. Maple drafts the replies for your approval so your profile stays active and managed, the honest way.
What you pay
Pricing
Is the price really all-in? Any per-call or hidden fees?
Yes, all-in. $997/month covers the full system. No per-call fees, no per-lead fees, no per-review fees, no "base plus usage," no overage bills — ever. The only extra is a one-time $997 setup fee for the build, and that's waived completely on annual. What we quote is what you pay.
What's the difference between monthly and annual?
Monthly is $997/month. Annual is $9,970/year — about $831/month effective. The way we frame it: annual is 12 months for the price of 10, plus your setup fee is waived. That's a bonus for committing — not a discount. We don't discount; discounts cheapen things. You're getting more value, not a marked-down price.
Why one flat price instead of à la carte?
Because the pieces only pay off when they work together — the call Maple answers feeds a review, which feeds your SEO, which rings the phone again. Splitting them into separate bills breaks that loop and usually costs more. The four pieces sold separately add up to $1,488/mo; the bundle is $997/mo. You can still buy a single piece à la carte (AI Front Desk $497/mo, Local SEO $497/mo, Website $297/mo, Review Engine $197/mo), but two pieces already cost about what the whole system does.
Can you raise my price later?
We don't have a formal price-freeze pledge, so we won't pretend to. What we will say: we're building a long-term business on referrals and results, and surprise price hikes are a fast way to lose both. We give existing clients fair notice of any change and always let you choose to stay or go. You own everything, so the choice is genuinely yours.
From signup to live
Setup
How fast until I'm live and taking calls?
Our target is live within about 14 days of your intake form. Day 0–3 you fill out one form (about 8 minutes) with your business info, service area, job types, and call-handling rules. Day 4–14 we build your website, train Maple on your business, register your A2P texting, and set up your local SEO. Around day 15 you go live — number ported, site indexed, Maple answering. Our internal goal is your first AI-booked job within 72 hours of go-live.
What do you need from me?
One 8-minute intake form, and that's it — your business name and service area, your top job types, your pricing range, how you want after-hours and emergencies handled, and access to your Google Business Profile (about two minutes to share). A crew photo helps but is optional. We do the build, the training, the porting, and the SEO. You keep running your crew.
I already have a website. Can I keep my domain?
Yes. We replace your old site with the new one we build for your trade, but your domain stays yours — if you own it, we point it at the new site; if you don't, we register one in your name. Either way you own it permanently. Prefer to keep only the AI front desk and not the website? The website piece is also available standalone at $297/mo.
What trades do you serve?
Any contracting and home-service trade. We started with tree service because it's a clean proof case — urgent calls, real seasonality, big tickets — and it's the template the rest are built from. The system works the same for any contractor whose business lives and dies by the phone. Tell us your trade when you start and we tune Maple and your site to it.
