01
What this covers
SetNForget Systems ("SetNForget") sends text messages on behalf of contractor clients — for example, missed-call text-backs, appointment confirmations, and review requests after a completed job. This policy explains how we obtain consent, how recipients opt out, how often we message, and how we comply with carrier and legal requirements. It applies to both our clients and the people who receive messages through our platform.
02
A2P 10DLC registration
All application-to-person (A2P) messaging we send in the United States is sent over registered 10-digit long codes (10DLC) through compliant carrier channels. We register each client's brand and campaign with the carriers, which keeps messages deliverable and your texting legitimate. We do not send through unregistered numbers or grey routes.
03
Consent and opt-in
We only message people who have a basis to receive texts — typically because they contacted the business, requested a callback or quote, or did business with the client (for example, a completed job that triggers a review request). Where express written consent is required, it is collected before messaging begins, and the business identifies itself and describes the type and frequency of messages. We do not buy or message purchased lists.
04
Opt-out (STOP) and help (HELP)
Every messaging program supports standard keywords:
- STOP (also STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) — the recipient is immediately opted out and receives one confirmation that no further messages will be sent. We honor opt-outs without delay.
- HELP (also INFO) — the recipient receives the business name and a way to reach support.
- START / UNSTOP — a previously opted-out recipient can opt back in.
Opt-out requests are processed automatically and apply to the program the recipient opted out of.
05
Message frequency
Message frequency varies by use case and is tied to real events, not a blast schedule. A missed-call text-back fires once when a call goes unanswered. A review request is sent after a completed job, with at most a small number of reminders. Recipients are told that message frequency varies and that message and data rates may apply.
06
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply to messages you send and receive, depending on the recipient's mobile plan and carrier. SetNForget does not charge recipients for messages; any charges come from the recipient's own mobile carrier.
07
No review gating
Review-request messages are sent to every eligible customer — we never pre-screen for sentiment or filter out customers likely to leave a negative review. Review gating violates Google's policies and FTC guidance, and we do not do it.
08
Client responsibilities
Clients who use our platform must only message contacts with a lawful basis, must not send prohibited content (including unlawful, deceptive, or harassing messages), and must comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA guidelines, carrier rules, and applicable state law. Misuse may result in suspension under our Terms of Service.
09
Privacy
Phone numbers and message content are handled under our Privacy Policy. We do not sell message data, and we do not share mobile opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing.
